IN PRACTICE

Every manufacturer, exporter or distributor of healthcare products that are not drugs may be allocated an ACL code.

For a member company, there is only one and simple way to get a code. The company must fill in an ACL request form and send it to ACL by fax on 00 33 (0)1 70 36 02 89 or by Email at the following address codif@aclclub.org.

If your company has never dealt with ACL, you must get in touch with ACL by phone on 00 33 (0) 1 70 36 02 80 or by Email at info@aclclub.org. You will then be given instructions as to the process to follow and the current tariffs.

There are three types of ACL request forms :

The « article » form is used to code a single article ;

The « assembled products » form is used to code several products put together, usually for a given period of time, or a display ;

The « promotional package » form is used to code a promotion for the pharmacist, or several products put together.

Please note :

In order to avoid any confusion within the distribution network :

When a product has been marketed with an ACL code, a new code is requested if at least one of the following item changes: name, galenic form, content, container or number or units in the packaging.

Moreover, the code of a product which is not anymore on the market must not be reused for another product.
